Cancellation and No-Show Policies

We require 2 hours advanced notice for changing or cancelling an appointment. A patient may reschedule or cancel an appointment up to two hours before their scheduled appointment time without any penalty.

Late-change or late-cancellation: If you contact us to cancel or change your appointment less than 2 hours before your scheduled appointment time, you will be charged a $25 late-cancellation/late-change fee. You will need to pay that fee before we will reschedule your appointment. If you choose to not reschedule with us, we will refund all but $25 of your appointment charge.

No-Show: If you miss ("no-show") the appointment, meaning that you do not answer your phone when the doctor calls the phone number that you provided for your appointment, you will be charged a $25 no-show fee. You will need to pay that fee before we will reschedule your appointment. If you do not wish to reschedule with us, you will forfeit the entire appointment charge that you paid to us (no refund will be given.)

What do I do if I miss my appointment? Email our scheduler at schedule@mmjadvocatedoc.com and she will assist you with rescheduling. She will email you an invoice to pay the $25 no-show fee.

We respect your time. We are one of the few telehealth practices that calls each and every patient promptly at their scheduled appointment time, and we expect you to answer the phone when we call for your appointment.

By scheduling a telehealth appointment, you acknowledge that it is your responsibility to answer the phone at the time of the appointment. You are responsible for making sure that you have provided your correct contact phone number to us for the appointment. You are responsible for making sure that your phone is powered on, is functional, and that you have your ringer turned on and have appropriate cell reception (i.e. the ability to receive phone calls) at the time of your appointment.
